Our journey began back in 2005 when Mike got involved in the family business. Here in North Carolina, M&T Investments was a family owned and operated company that built houses (primarily modular homes), leased commercial property and office buildings, and rented out duplexes to future homeowners. Through the trials and tribulations of the real estate crash of 2007-08, of all things, Mike took over the building side of the business, with quite a bit of success. Once getting our residential and commercial general contractors license in NC and SC, we began expanding our reach, looking into partnerships, different projects and education. We eventually became Mastery students with Fortune Builders and we were off and running from there.
In most recent times, the difficulties of securing reliable labor at reasonable prices, and the complexities of working in other businesses, it was time to let go of that segment and move towards private money lending and helping the next generation of real estate investing. Our extensive construction and remodeling background allows us to quickly evaluate a project and help the investor make good, sound decisions and continue to build a successful business.
